Our Story

I was brought up on a tiny island in Okinawa, Japan, where the average temperature was 80 degrees all year 'round. It's no wonder why I love to go to tropical places on my spare time. I just love the sun!

Island style living as a girl included blue coral reefs, emerald waters, white beaches and warm tropical rain showers. I just couldn't wait to splash around barefoot in puddles and just be carefree! As soon as the sun was up, I would head for the door solely dressed in my little baby bloomers ...

Surrounding me was the beauty of tropical banana trees, exotic pineapple plants and sweet sugar canes darting the hillside. This was all part of everyday life in Okinawa, and the beauty and strength of nature became immersed into my own spirit.

Years later, after rummaging through several photos taken by my father of these nostalgic childhood years in Japan, I was inspired by the clothing of my childhood. Those simple bloomers fused with the memories of Okinawa would become the basis for loose, light comfortable clothing this is how my entire collection became a reality.

And the Pucker® brand was born.
